I loved Kentucky!
I went for a weekend trip just me, myself and I thank you very much! I went for the book signing for my favorite author J.R. Ward. I actually got two pictures of her and me together. It was great.
She was so nice, friendly, and easy to be around. Very much a down-to-earth type of person, and I was absolutely thrilled to meet her.
School is difficult on different levels, but I am really enjoying it. I haven't cross-stitched in a long time but I do plan to "catch up" on my three week break. Hopefully I can sleep in late too. Fingers crossed. XXX

OH, I am getting the best gift for my 35th birthday next Friday. A new puppy! I already have our beloved Lancey. Pictured on the right. He is 7 months old now and he's an English Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix. He's a bit tall, with long legs and a skinny body. We all love him, but he's been lonely since loosing his playmate our Pug Merlin.
My friend Jeremiah who I also go to school with a couple months ago saved a small brown female dog from being run over and killed on the freeway. Well Jeremiah took her home, gave her the name of Sally, and it turns out Sally was PREGNANT!!! So a couple weeks later she gave birth to 4 fat puppies. My new puppy Blaze is one of them. I named her Blaze because the first day I saw her and decided to take her, she had this BLAZE of white fur on her face and forehead. Now she is almost 7 weeks old and a lot more fur. Blaze has a very good disposition. I knew I wanted to get a female. Since Sally had 2 boys and 2 girls, I had my pick of the litter. I saw Blaze's sister first but the moment I took her from her whelping box and away from her mother and siblings she started crying, whimpering and squirming to get back to them. Even though she was cute, I knew she wasn't for me. So I picked up Blaze, and she was awake, sniffing away and very peaceful and quiet. I knew she was the puppy for me. Here's her picture.

Isn't she precious? Anyhow, that's all for now. Love ya all.
