Hello everyone!

Well long story short I will be having surgery in a month on my right foot. There are some muscles and tendons that need to be tightened, and there's not a lot of soft tissue left in that foot. It's the same one a horse stepped on with its full weight when I was 16. I am wearing a cast for two weeks after surgery and then the brace that he sent me home with (And that I am wearing NOW) for at least another 6 weeks. Kinda sucks but on the same hand, I know it has to be done.
There will be pain involved of course, but I am honestly looking forward to it. The healing that is, not the pain.

Aside from that everyone is healthy happy and I finished one final today and only have two left. One tomorrow and one on Thursday night. Yikes!!! I HATE finals week.

Well this week at school, we get to have Blaze and her siblings with us for a week. They have had their first round of shots, been microchipped, and I get to take Blaze home on Thursday. Very fun to have a chance to go play with them. But fear not, I am making usre my homework and studying is done before indulging in puppy time. :)

Kids last day of school is this Thursday, hard to believe! I know they are both so ready for summer break, as am I. It should be a lot of fun. We are going to go camping during my three week break. Yay!!! (We haven't done that in years and I have missed it a lot.)

I'm including a picture of Blaze. :)

I loved Kentucky!

I went for a weekend trip just me, myself and I thank you very much! I went for the book signing for my favorite author J.R. Ward. I actually got two pictures of her and me together. It was great.

She was so nice, friendly, and easy to be around. Very much a down-to-earth type of person, and I was absolutely thrilled to meet her.

School is difficult on different levels, but I am really enjoying it. I haven't cross-stitched in a long time but I do plan to "catch up" on my three week break. Hopefully I can sleep in late too. Fingers crossed. XXX

OH, I am getting the best gift for my 35th birthday next Friday. A new puppy! I already have our beloved Lancey. Pictured on the right. He is 7 months old now and he's an English Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix. He's a bit tall, with long legs and a skinny body. We all love him, but he's been lonely since loosing his playmate our Pug Merlin.

My friend Jeremiah who I also go to school with a couple months ago saved a small brown female dog from being run over and killed on the freeway. Well Jeremiah took her home, gave her the name of Sally, and it turns out Sally was PREGNANT!!! So a couple weeks later she gave birth to 4 fat puppies. My new puppy Blaze is one of them. I named her Blaze because the first day I saw her and decided to take her, she had this BLAZE of white fur on her face and forehead. Now she is almost 7 weeks old and a lot more fur. Blaze has a very good disposition. I knew I wanted to get a female. Since Sally had 2 boys and 2 girls, I had my pick of the litter. I saw Blaze's sister first but the moment I took her from her whelping box and away from her mother and siblings she started crying, whimpering and squirming to get back to them. Even though she was cute, I knew she wasn't for me. So I picked up Blaze, and she was awake, sniffing away and very peaceful and quiet. I knew she was the puppy for me. Here's her picture.

Isn't she precious? Anyhow, that's all for now. Love ya all.

Wow, I can'te believe it, but my mid-term in Math went so well! I got 43 out of 50, so that's a B+ grade. I am still amazed. Everything is going good, though it is hard work. Next semester I plan to take 4 classes instead of just 2. Yikes! But I know I can do it, think positive, right? hehehe.

School is hard, but worth it!

I've entered my second semester, and hard to believe that I've been going to school for 4 months now already. I'm taking it slow, and getting all of my requiered classes out of the way before I start studying anything vet tech. It may take me longer, but so be it.

I have moved 3 times since my last post, been laid off, started college, and been overall happy. Halloween is coming up soon, and my kids are being Davey Jones and Scooby Doo. Hubby never dresses up, which is ok with me.

I finished my cross-stitch and had it professionally framed. IT IS SOOOO GORGEOUS! And huge! It sits in a 16X20 frame. I was so thrilled about that.

So next semester which starts is January, I plan to take Composition, Inter-personal relationshhips, and College Math I. If I can wing it, creative writing as well. If not...Spring semester. :)

Guess that's it for now!

In The Name Of Love

In The Name Of Love

Hello everyone!

I'm back in the saddle again!

Man where did the time go? Sorry for the lapse but I had a death in the family, the holidays, etc. The usual excuses. lol.

But I am making progress on my WIP. Which is good since for a time I was in a slump. You know that "treading through water" expression? Try treading through mud that is thicker than peanut butter, and you'll understand what I was going through. Writer's block is a b*%#@.

I've stared a new series in my writing, I'm thinking it will be at least 2 book long, perhaps 3. Set in the Regency time period a year after the battle of Trafalgar. Elly is the blind heroine who was left alone in the world and now stays with her best friend and her husband. Brendan was Elly's brother's Frank best friend and constant companion. They went to sea together, and Brendan was there when Frank died.

Just a little tidbit about the first book. hehehe.

In my personal life, i have a couple of exciting things happening in the upcoming months. For my birthday, me and hubby are flying to Denver, Colorado for an overnight stay, and also going to go see WICKED. It's so exciting, I can hardly stand it. It's also the first time we've flown anywhere together in our 11 years of marriage.

The other will happen in the end of June. Isabel and Andrea from RomanticInks are not only my cps, but my best friends. We met online at the avon authors board chat room. For almost 2 years now we've been online best friends. Now they're both flying out here to see me and my family for 5 days. I am so stoked about this! Two words: BRING KLEENEX. ;)

Guess that's all for now, see ya later!
Hello everyone! Say howdy to my newly adopted DSH cat King Arthur (For the crown on his head.) But Arthur for short.
